Mayurbhanj, Dec 13: BJP leader and former legislator from Jashipur constituency Bhanu Charan Naik passed away early yesterday morning in the district.
Naik was suffering from diabetes and high BP, while he took her last breath at his native in Khiching. His last rites were performed at his native, while several BJP leaders and many others from various walks of life attended his funeral.
The tribal leader, who was working as a mine foreman with SAIL until he took VRS to join politics, was elected in 2000 to the State Assembly and is survived by 2 sons, 2 daughters and his wife Gurubari.
