Bhubaneswar, May 12: The foundation stone function for about 15 new industrial projects will be held in next four months. This was said by the Odisha Industries minister Niranjan Pujari after conducting the second inter-ministerial committee meeting to review the progress of projects. The progress status of all the 124 investment intents received during the Investors Meet held at Mumbai, Bengaluru and Bhubaneswar last year. Bhubaneswar received an investment intent of Rs 3,64,864 crore.
Out of these 124 proposals, 62 have progressed. This is about 50 per cent of the intents received by the state and is one of the highest rates of conversion of intents into proposals among all states in the country.Out of 62, 49 have already been cleared by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority in less than four month period.
Industries secretary Sanjeeb Chopra informed that the state has received a good amount of investment in sectors such as food processing, petro chemicals, chemicals and plastics, infrastructure & logistics, renewable energy, tourism and health care.
Pujari informed that the Committee decided upon the grounding and implementation of these projects in a specified time. He also pointed out to set up a world-class industrial infrastructure facilities for the investors in the state.
