Odisha prays for COVID Warriors

Bhubaneswar: August 05: People of the Odisha joined a mass prayer today and paid tribute to the front line warriors who laid down their lives fighting against COVID.

Odisha Chief Minister had given the call for this and the people of the State welcomed the call and do silence prayer for a minute at their respective places at 6 pm.

Odisha has been fighting against COVID since last five months. Due to devotion and sacrifice of our COVID Warriors who are at the forefront of the battle, more than 25 thousand patients have recovered from the disease so far. This is an important achievement and the credit must go to the COVID Warriors and the People of Odisha, Naveen Patniak said.

In this battle, 25 COVID Warriors have sacrificed their lives and set a unique example of service, sacrifice and humanity.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik administered an oath to the people of the state to cooperate and encourage the warriors. The oath was,  ‘I will win, my Odisha will win and the human race will win; With this determination, people of the State took oath to  make the fight against COVID stronger adhering to Covid regulations issued by the State and Central Government.
