Odisha reports 695 new Covid +Ve Cases; 323 from Khurda Dist

Odisha is now on fast track towards achieving hundred percent vaccination of the population above 18 years of age.

Odisha reported 695 fresh Covid +Ve cases in last 24 hours, pushing State’s total (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 10,19,621. Out of that, 10,05,564 people have recovered so far with 719 new recoveries reported yesterday.

Yesterday, it was 628 new cases in Odisha. On 14th September, it was 428. Since then, daily cases in Odisha have been growing.

Out of 695 fresh cases, 401 people were in quarantine and rest 294 are local contact cases. Also, 83 cases are in the age group of 0-18.

Current active caseload stands at 5876.

Six more deaths recorded and added to the total. With this, total death toll reached 8128.

65,512 tests have been conducted in last 24 hours and 695 samples came out positive.

Daily Positivity Rate remans at 1.06 per cent.

Khurda District recorded 323 new cases in last 24 hours, which is 46 per cent of today’s daily cases.
