Bhubaneswar: August 23: Odisha witnessed biggest single-day recovery of COVID-19 cases today. As reported by H &FW Department, 2129 patients recovered from COVID-19 in a single day.
276 cases recovered from Khurda District, followed by 265 from Ganjam, 178 from Sundergarh, 172 from Cuttack, 153 from Koraput, 144 from Bhadrak, 130 from Nayagarh, 122 from Kandhamal, 90 from Baleswar, 84 from Puri, 80 from Malkangiri, 68 each from Sambalpur & Rayagada, 56 from Mayurbhanj, 50 from Gajapati, 27 from Jagatsinghpur, 24 from Jajpur, 23 each from Dhenkanal & Keonjhar, 19 from Kalahandi, 18 from Angul, 16 from Kendrapara, 14 from Bolangir, 13 from Jharsuguda, 9 from Nabarangpur, 6 from Boudh and one from Sonepur.
So, out of total 78,530 cases recorded so far in Odisha, 54,406 patients have recovered till date.
Total death toll in the State increased to 409 with 10 deaths recorded today.
At present, 23,662 active cases are there in the State.
