Bhubaneswar: July 28: Odisha has reported 1,215 new COVID-19 cases on 27 July. With this, total number of cases in the State increased to 28,107. 753 COVID Positive cases detected from persons in Quarantine and rest 462 are local contact cases.
Out of that, 332 cases have been detected from Ganjam District, 312 from Khurda District, 89 from Gajapati District, 77 from Keonjhar District, 73 from Koraput District, 60 from Cuttack District, 47 from Jagatsinghpur District, 29 from Balasore District, 24 from Rayagada District, 22 from Mayurbhanj District, 21 from Balangir District, 20 from Jajpur District, 14 each from Kandhamal, Kendrapara & Malkangiri District, 11 each from Puri & Angul District, 10 from Bargarh District, 8 each from Kalahandi & Nuapada District, 7 from Nayagarh District, 2 each from Bhadrak, Boudh, Jharsuguda, Sonepur & Sundergarh District and one each from Deogarh & Dhenkanal District.

Seven persons also died in last 24 hours due to the COVID-19. Among 7 deaths, three are from Ganjam, 2 from Rayagada and one each from Cuttack & Bhubaneswar. Total death toll in the State rose to 154.
