Bhubaneswar: September 23: Odisha reported 4,237 new cases in last 24 hours, pushing the State’s COVID tally to 1,92,548.
As informed by Health & Family Welfare Department, Out of 4,237 new cases, 2,485 people were in quarantine and rest 1,752 cases are from local contacts.
Khurda districts continues to report highest number of cases (647), followed by Cuttack 577 cases, Puri 219 cases, Jharsuguda 205 cases, Jajpur 201 cases, Jagatsinghpur 173 cases, Balasore 161 cases, Kendrapara 148 cases, Mayurbhanj 139 cases, Bhadrak 136 cases, Sonepur 131 cases, Bargarh 121 cases, Nuapada 115 cases, Sambalpur 111 cases, Angul 110 cases, Sundergarh 101 cases, Koraput 89 cases, Ganjam 71 cases, Dhenkanal & Nabarangpur 70 cases each, Bolangir 67 cases, Kalahandi 57 cases, Kandhamal 55 cases, Rayagada 51 cases, Nayagarh 50 cases, Malkangiri 44 cases, Boudh 43 cases, Gajapati & Keonjhar 42 cases each, Deogarh 22 cases and 169 cases from State Pool.
So far, 1,53,213 patients have recovered from the disease.
In last 24 hours, 15 persons succumbed to the disease and total death toll in the State due to Coronavirus increased to 736.
At present, 38,546 active cases are there in the State.
