Bhubaneswar: February 19: Odisha reported 53 new Corona Positive cases in last 24 hours. Thirty-one of them were in quarantine. The remaining 22 are local cases. This is according to a report by the Department of Information and Public Relations.
All 53 new cases have been identified from 17 districts. Sambalpur district only reported 11 cases.
As reported, Balasore district reported single new case, Bargarh 4 cases, Bhadrak 2 cases, Balangir 1 case, Boudh 1 case, Cuttack 3 cases, Jajpur 4 cases, Jharsuguda 5 cases, Kalahandi one case, Khurda 3 cases, Koraput 3 cases, Nuapada 3 cases, Puri 2 cases, Rayagada one case, Sambalpur 11 cases, Sonepur one case and Sundargarh district registered 7 cases.
No new cases have been identified in Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati districts.
With 53 new cases, Odisha’s total tally increased to 3,36,513 and so far, 3,33,888 people have recovered from the disease. At present, 658 cases are active in state.
As per tweet of H & FW Department, a male COVID Positive Patient of 74 years’ old belonging to Bhubaneswar died due to COVID infection. He was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension and Chronic Kidney Disease.
