Bhubaneswar: August 3: Continuously, Odisha has been witnessing more than thousand COVID-19 Positive cases in a day. The number of cases is on the rise in the state. Odisha has reported 1384 new COVID-19 Positive cases today. Of this, 873 cases are Quarantine cases and 511 Local Contact cases. Total number of Coronavirus cases in the State, including 1384 cases of today, rose to 36,297.
According to the information provided in Health Department’s site, 13 cases were identified from Angul, 79 from Balasore, 33 from Bargarh, 25 from Bhadrak, 51 from Balangir, 89 from Cuttack, 11 from Dhenkanal, 61 from Gajapati, 331 from Ganjam, 22 from Jagatsinghpur, 18 from Jajpur, 7 from Jharsuguda, 4 from Kalahandi, 11 from Kendrapara, 211 from Khurda, 97 from Koraput, 39 from Malkangiri, 29 from Mayurbhanj, 26 from Nabarangpur, 22 from Nayagarh, 5 from Nuapada, 17 from Puri, 38 from Rayagada, 93 from Sambalpur, 6 from Sonepur and 46 from Sundergarh.
Out of total cases, 21,955 patients have recovered and returned home, while 207 persons died due to the disease and 41 COVID Patients died of other illnesses. So far, 14,094 people are being treated in the state.
