Bhubaneswar: August 3: India has reported 52,972 new COVID Positive cases and 771 deaths in last 24 hours. With this, total cases in India crossed 18 Lakh mark (1,803,695), while the total fatalities rose to 38,135, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare informed.
As reported by Health Ministry further, 5,79,357 cases are active so far.
In last 24 hours,40,574 patients have recovered from the disease, taking the total recovered cases’ number to 11,86,203. Recovery rate in the Country increased to 65.77 per cent.
India has one of the lowest Case Fatality Rate (CFR) at 2.11 per cent.
A total of 2,02,02,858 samples have been tested till 2nd August’2020. On 2nd August, 3,81,027 samples were tested.
Maharashtra has 4,41,228 cases and 15,576 deaths so far. Tamil Nadu comes in second with 257,613 cases and 4,132 deaths, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 1,58,764 cases and 1474 deaths, Delhi with 1,37,677 cases and 4004 deaths, Karnataka with 1,34,819 cases and 2496 deaths, Uttar Pradesh with 92,921 cases and 1730 deaths, West Bengal with 75,516 cases and 1678 deaths, Telengana with 66,677 cases and 540 deaths, Gujarat with 63,562 cases and 2486 deaths and Bihar with 57,024 cases and 329 deaths.
