Bhubaneswar: July 27: Odisha has been witnessing thousand plus cases everyday since last 6 days including today. Today, 1503 COVID-19 cases have been reported in State. This is the second time, Odisha recorded more than 1500 cases in a day. On 23rd July, 1594 cases were reported in the State. Out of 1,503 cases reported today, 1002 are Quarantine cases and rest 501 are Local Contact Cases.
With this, State’s total COVID-19 cases increased to 26,892.
Today, Ganjam has recorded 491 new cases, Khurda 223 cases, Cuttack 136 cases, Kandhamal & Gajapati 73 cases each, Rayagada 68 cases, Sundergarh 57 cases, Jajpur 51 cases, Keonjhar 43 cases, Koraput & Malkangiri 34 cases each, Dhenkanal 32 cases, Mayurbhanj 28 cases, Bhadrak 25 cases, Bargarh 23 cases, Balangir 21 cases, Balasore 19 cases, Sambalpur 17 cases, Jharsuguda & Kalahandi 10 cases each, Kendrapara 9 cases, Nayagarh 8 cases, Jagatsinghpur 6 cases, Puri & Sonepur 4 cases each, Nabarangpur 2 cases and Angul & Boudh 1 case each.

Also, Odisha registered 7 deaths in last 24 hours due to COVID-19. Three of them are from Ganjam District only and one each from Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Sundergarh & Mankangiri. So, total number of deaths in the State due to COVI-19 rose to 147.
