Odisha reports 1528 new COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths in 24 hours

Odisha records highest single-day spike of 4,330 COVID-19 cases

Bhubaneswar: August 10: Odisha reported 1528 new COVID Positive cases in last 24  hours. Of this, 948 were in Quarantine and rest 580 cases are from Local Contacts.

In last 24 hours, Ganjam district has recorded 233 cases, Khurda 218 cases, Sambalpur 168 cases, Sundergarh 126 cases, Dhenkanal 107 cases, Cuttack 72 cases, Bhadrak 70 cases, Balasore 43 cases, Malkangiri 38 cases, Jajpur 33 cases, Nayagarh 32 cases, Kalahandi & Gajapati 31 cases each, Rayagad 27 cases, Puri 26 cases, Nawarangpur 23 cases, Mayurbhanj & Jagatsinghpur 22 cases, Kandhamal & Kendrapara 17 cases each, Bargarh 10 cases, Jharsuguda 9 cases, Angul 8 cases, Boudh 7 cases, Keonjhar & Sonepur 5 cases each and Nuapada 2 cases.

With this, total cases in the State increased to 47,455. So far, 31,785 patients have recovered from the disease.

In last 24 hours, 14 persons succumbed to the disease, pushing the death toll to 286.

Also, as per the information provided in Health Department’s twitter account, 2 COVID-19 Positive Patients died due to other causes. Total deaths due to other than COVID reached 51.

At Present, 15,333 active cases are there in the State.
