Bhubaneswar: July 13: Odisha reported 1930 fresh Covid-19 Positive Cases in last 24 hours. Out of which, 1117 people were in quarantine and rest 813 are local contact cases. With this, total cases detected in Odisha since the beginning of the pandemic increased to 9,43,675.
Yesterday, 2937 patients have recovered from the disease. Total total recovered cases in the state reached 9,15,400.
As informed by Health & Family Welfare Department, 68 patients succumbed to Covid-19 and the total death toll in the State grew further to 4730. But, as stated by the Department, the list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the deaths audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
As per I & PR Department’s information, Khurda District reported 431 fresh cases in last 24 hours, followed by Cuttack 220, Balasore 134, Jajpur 125 and Kendrapara 123.
Besides, Mayurbhanj & Bhadrak district registered 98 cases each, followed by Sundergarh 94 cases, Jagatsinghpur 75 cases, Dhenkanal 62 cases, Nayagarh 58 cases, Angul 50 cases, Keonjhar 48 cases, Rayagada 38 cases, Malkangiri 28 cases, Kandhamal 27 cases, Puri 27 cases, Sambalpur 25 cases, Ganjam 17 cases, Jharsugua 16 cases, Koraput 14 cases, Bargarh 12 cases, Deogarh 8 cases, Kalahandi 7 cases, Sonepur 5 cases, Nawarangpur 5 cases, Gajapati 4 cases, Boudh 3 cases, Nuapada 2 cases and Balangir one case.
At present, 23,492 cases are active in Odisha.
Positivity rate has also declined further to 3.09 per cent.
