Bhubaneswar: October 16: Odisha reported 2,138 new Corona Positive Cases in last 24 hours. Out of which, 1,251 are quarantine cases and rest 887 are local contact cases. According to I & PR Department’s tweet, Khurda district recorded 361 new Corona Positive Cases in last 24 hours, followed by Cuttack 156 cases, Angul 151 cases, Sundergarh 137 cases and Mayurbhanj 119 cases, Sonepur 80 cases, Bolangir 79 cases, Bargarh & Puri 73 cases each, Kendrapara 72 cases, Jajpur 71 cases, Jagatsinghpur 66 cases, Balasore 57 cases, Jharsuguda & Malkangiri 55 cases each, Samabalpur 53 cases, Kalahandi 51 cases, Bhadrak 47 cases, Keonjhar 46 cases, Nuapada 41 cases, Dhenkanal & Koraput 38 cases each, Nayagarh 31 cases, Rayagada 25 cases, Kandhamal 24 cases, Boudh & Nabarangpur 21 cases each, Ganjam 18 cases, Deogarh 9 cases, Gajapati 8 cases and State Pool 62 cases.
With this, 2,138 new cases, State’s total tally increased to 2,64,149. Out of which, 2,38,535 patients have recovered from the disease so far.
In last 24 hours, 15 patients succumbed to the disease and total death toll reached 1,104.
Currently, 24,457 active cases are there in State.
