Bhubaneswar: May 18: 48 new COVID-19 cases have been detected today in Odisha. Out of 48 cases reported in State today, 16 cases are from Jajpur, 15 cases from Ganjam, 3 cases from Kendrapara, 3 from Nayagarh, 4 from Puri, 2 from Kandhamal, 2 from Bolangir, 1 from Boudh, 1 from Cuttack and rest 1 from Khurda District.
As information provided by I & PR department, all 3 patients from Kendrapara are West Bengal Returnees and in quarantine centers.
Out of 15 patients in Ganjam, 14 are in quarantine centers and from Surat. Rest one is Bengaluru returnee.
Out of 16 cases in Jajpur, 7 are West Bengal Returnees, 1 Telangana Returnee, 4 Andhra Pradesh Returnees and rest 4 Ahmedabad Returnees. Also, all are in quarantine centers.
Three cases of Puri are in quarantine centers and 2 of them have returned from Tamilnadu & one from Andhra Pradesh. Out of 4 cases detected in Puri today, one case is in local contact.
Two cases of Kandhamal are Tamilnadu Returnees and in quarantine centers.
Three cases of Nayagarh are Ahmadabad Returnees and in quarantine centers.
Two cases of Bolangir are Surat Returnees and in quarantine centers.
One case each from Boudh and Khurda are Surat Returnees and in quarantine centers.
One case from Cuttack is a Maharashtra Returnee and in quarantine.
Total COVID-19 cases in Odisha jumped to 876 on Monday.
