Odisha reports 170 Covid-19 New Cases; No cases in10 Districts

Bhubaneswar: September 10: Odisha reported its highest single-day spike of 3,991 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the state’s total to 1,39,121, as per the data of Health & Family Welfare Department.
11 more persons died due to Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours and the total death toll in the State increased to 591.
Of 3,991 cases, 2,315 cases were in quarantine while 1,676 are local contact cases.

According to Health & Family Welfare Department, Khurda district reported highest 687 positive cases followed by Cuttack 392, Puri 332, Bolangir, 180, Bargarh 169, Mayurbhanj 160, Jajpur 148, Kendrapara 147, Koraput 127, Nabarangpur 125, Angul 114, Jagatsinghpur 109, Sambalpur 104, Dhenkanal 101 and State Poll 114.

Also, Sundergarh District registered 98 new cases in last 24 hours, followed by Nuapada (96), Ganjam (95), Bhadrak (82), Keonjhar (81), Balasore, Kalahandi & Sonepur (74 cases each), Rayagada (58), Kandhamal (57), Jharsuguda (49), Nayagarh (48), Boudh (41), Malkangiri (19) and Deogarh & Gajapati (18 each).

So far, 1,05,295 persons have recovered from the disease in Odisha and at present, the number of active Covid-19 cases in the State has increased to 33,182.
