Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: In a bid to expedite construction work of Gurupriya bridge in Malkangiri district, Odisha government has urged Centre to release funds.
The State PWD has requested the Union Home Ministry seeking central fund of Rs 142.25 crore of the estimated Rs 167 crore for the project.
Already, Rs 24.31 crore has been spent in the 910-metre construction of the project that began in April.
The government targets to complete the work by the end of 2016.
