Odisha To Give Weightage To Temporary Covid-19 Health Workers In OSSSC Exam

December 01

In the upcoming OSSSC recruitment exam, Odisha will give a weightage of 5% extra marks to short-term covid-19 healthcare workers who have been employed for a minimum of three months.

The “Odisha grant of weightage in marks in the Recruitment examinations in favor of Short-Term Covid-19 Healthcare workers Rules-2022” was drafted by the government on the orders of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in light of the contributions made by these temporary healthcare workers during the pandemic.

According to the rules, short-term covid-19 healthcare workers who were employed for a minimum of three months would be given a weightage of 5% extra marks in the upcoming recruitment exam to be held by OSSSC for the positions of Nursing Officers, Pharmacists, Radiographers, Laboratory Technicians, and Multipurpose Healthcare Workers. This would only be a temporary fix.
