Bhubaneswar: The temperature is set to drop again from December 6 in Odisha. This means the cold wave in Odisha will be experienced. In the coming three days, the temperature will drop to two to four degrees Celsius.
Light to moderate fog can be seen in the districts of Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Keonjhar over the next two days. On December 8 and 9 rain can be expected. Rainfall on December 8 can occur in some districts of south central Odisha viz Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Bargarh.
The districts of central Odisha along with Gajapati district will receive light to moderate rainfall on December 9. The IMD also predicted that on December 6, 7 and 10 the weather will remain dry.
In the last 24 hours, maximum rainfall of 65.4 millimeters was recorded in Borigumma of Koraput district. Other places like Kotapada, Koraput and Malkangiri recorded 7.8mm, 6mm and 5.2mm rainfall. The night temperature in most areas in Odisha remained above 15 degrees Celsius over the last two days.
