Odisha: Wind Speed increases, raining heavily in most parts of coastal area of the State

Bhubaneswar: May 03: It is only an hour or two left, extremely severe cyclone Fani to make a landfall. Already raining started heavily in most parts of the Odisha and the wind speed has been increasing in Puri and nearby areas.

The Cyclone is expected to make its landfall between Puri and Gopalpur. The exact location for landfall is yet to be ascertained.

By this time, the State Government has already evacuated more than 9 lakh people.

Government agencies were pressed into service to facilitate evacuation in such a mass scale from the vulnerable districts.
