Odisha reports 170 Covid-19 New Cases; No cases in10 Districts

Bhubaneswar: August 11: Odisha reported 1341 new COVID Positive cases in last 24  hours. Of this, 818 were in Quarantine and rest 523 cases are from Local Contacts.

In last 24 hours, Ganjam district has recorded 227 cases, Khurda 218 cases, Sundergarh 91 cases, Bhadrak 83 cases, Cuttack 76 cases, Rayagada 75 cases, Jharsuguda 67 cases, Nayagarh 57 cases, Bargarh 56 cases, Balasore 54 cases, Koraput 45 cases, Balangir & Kendrapara 27 cases each, Sambalpur 26 cases, Kalahandi 25 cases, Keonjhar 23 cases, Gajapati 20 cases, Malkangiri 17 cases, Puri, Kandhamal & Jagatsinghpur 16 cases each, Jajpur 15 cases, Sonepur & Dhenkanal 14 cases each, Boudh 10 cases, Mayurbhanj 9 cases, Nuapada 7 cases, Nawarangpur 6 cases and Angul 4 cases.

With this, total cases in the State increased to 48,796. So far, 33,021 patients have recovered from the disease.

In last 24 hours, 10 persons succumbed to the disease, pushing the death toll to 296.

Also, as per the information provided in Health Department’s twitter account, 2 COVID-19 Positive Patients died due to other causes. Total deaths due to other than COVID reached 53.

At Present, 15,426 active cases are there in the State.
