Bhubaneswar: August 27: Odisha registered another record number of COVID-19 Cases in 24 hours. Yesterday, it had reported 3371 COVID-19 cases and today, it has recorded 3384 cases. Out of 3384 cases, 2128 people were in quarantine and rest 1256 are local contact cases.
According to Health & Family Welfare Department, Khurda reported 587 cases in last 24 hours, followed by Cuttack (492 cases), Sambalpur (182 cases), Mayurbhanj & Ganjam (177 cases each), Jajpur (176 cases), Bargarh (157 cases), Rayagada (154 cases), Puri (121 cases), Balasore (119 cases), Sundergarh (101 cases), Bolangir (99 cases), Jhrsuguda (94 cases), Koraput (89 cases), Bhadrak (82 cases), Kendrapara & Nayagarh (76 cases each), Keonjhar (63 cases), Dhenkanal (60 cases), Kandhamal (58 cases), Malkangiri (44 cases), Jagatsinghpur (43 cases), Sonepur (37 cases), Nabarangpur (31 cases), Kalahandi (27 cases), Nuapada (19 cases), Deogarh (16 cases), Angul (13 cases), Gajapati (9 cases) and Boudh (5 cases).
Total cases in Odisha increased to 90,986. Out of that, 62,813 people have recovered from the disease.
In last 24 hours, 7 persons have died due to the disease and total death toll rose to 448.
At present, 27, 672 people are under treatment.
