Bhubaneswar: August 29: Odisha reported again more than 3,000 fresh COVID-19 Cases in a Single Day. In last 24 hours, it has registered 3,252 cases. Out of this, 1265 are local contact cases and rest 1987 people were in quarantine.
According to the data released by Health & Family Welfare Department today, Khurda District recorded 762 fresh cases in a single day, followed by Rayagada (450), Cuttack (323), Ganjam (169), Bargarh (146), Puri (135), Mayurbhanj (123),Nayagarh (120),Dhenkanal & Sundergarh (94 cases each), Jajpur (83), Balasore (78), Kendrapara (77), Bhadrak (76), Bolangir (64), Sambalpur (63), Jharsuguda (55), Keonjhar (50), Nabarangpur (41), Sonepur & Boudh (38 cases each), Jagatsinghpur (36), Kandhamal (26), Koraput & Nuapada (25 each), Malkangiri (21), Gajapati (20), Angul (11), Deogarh (7) and Kalahandi (2).
With this, total cases in Odisha increased to 97,920. Out of that, 67,826 patients have already recovered from the disease and at present, 29,571 cases are active.
In last 24 hours, 14 people succumbed to the disease and total death toll due to COVID-19 in Odisha rose to 470.
