Bhubaneswar: July 27: Results for the Odisha Civil Services 2021 examination can now be released. Following a hearing on the Odisha Public Service Commission’s (OPSC) petition, the Orissa High Court on Thursday lifted an earlier interim stay to the results’ release and ordered the OPSC to hold a seat aside for the Divyang candidate, who had filed a petition for not being allowed to participate in the recruitment test.

On July 21, the High Court issued an interim stay on the announcement of the Civil Services 2021 results in response to a petition filed by Satish Kumar Panigrahi, a Divyang aspirant.

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has filed an interim petition, arguing that the continuation of the stay on the Odisha Civil Services 2021 results, which was granted in response to a petition from a divyang candidate, would have a significant impact on numerous other candidates.

Upon considering the petition submitted by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC), the highest court of the state has modified its previous ruling. The court has directed the OPSC to to reserve a seat and not to make any appointment for this seat without its permission.

The verdict was delivered by the High Court bench, presided over by Justice Aditya Kumar Mohaptra, subsequent to the consideration of the petition filed by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
