OTDC to distribute 500 T-shirts, 50 cycles for Raahagiri programme

Bhubaneswar, Jan. 14: The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) has extended its support to the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) to make the Raahgiri programme, which will be held here on January 17.

It has decided to distribute 500 T-shirts and 50 cycles to the volunteers to attract people to participate in the event.

Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Panda during a meeting with BDA, BMC officials informed that apart from T-shirts and cycles, a traditional Odia food court will also be opened on January 17 by the OTDC.

The Raahgiri programme, aimed to promote non-motorized transport every Sunday on a selected stretch here, would be conducted on a road between Master Canteen and Ram Mandir square.

The BMC will install 50 hoardings in various junctions in the city to highlight the importance of observance of the day.
