Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: As the upcoming panchayat Polls are knocking at the door Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik released the ‘’Odisha Panchayat Samachar’’ weekly yesterday at the State Secretariat here. The CM advised to make the newsletter more people friendly and people centric as well so that it serves the true purpose of being their mouth piece and channel of development. Panchayati Raj minister, Arun Sahoo informed the media persons that this weekly newsletter would help in spreading awareness to the 80% of the state’s rural population about the various schemes which are launched by the various departments of the government. As a result their participation in the democracy will increase. Developmental works undertaken in one area can also percolate to other areas through the newsletter.
