Bhubaneswar, May 5: Yesterday National Women’s Commission (NWC) member Sushma Sahu expressed severe discontentment to the State police for having a biased approach towards the Parbati Sasmal case. Sahu had met Sasmal on May 4 and later met police DG and to whom she handed over the details related to Sasmal’s case. She alleged that the police are rather making attempts to protect the political ruling party and its people who are involved in assaulting Sasmal. The State BJP Mahila Morcha had also written to NWC and acting upon which the commission sent two members to Odisha to look into matter.
