Cuttack, Sept 1: A parent named Pradeep Mangual belonging to Ranpur village in Banki of a Banki college student, who had succumbed to severe injuries in a group clash inside the college premises, died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at the central ICU of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Cuttack.
Notably, eight persons, including Mangual, were injured in a group clash over passing of comment to a girl student of Banki College on August 22. The group of youths and Banki college students had clashed inside the college premises over the matter. Following the incident, the college authorities declared sine-die and students were asked to vacate hostel immediately.
