Bhubaneswar, Feb 16: Shri Niten Chandra, IAS, Principal Secretary to Government, Department of Social Security and Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD), Government of Odisha, addressed the gathering with a positive note that skill development training programme are very successful, which he felt from various corners as well his visit to different parts of the Odisha that Alumni of Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped (VRCH) are not only become earning members of their family but also contributing to the mainstream society meaningfully. By citing some success stories of PwDs, he also added that PwDs shouldn’t feel that they are disabled but they should feel that they are able enough by their will in order to cherish in their career.
Shri Ram Kishor Sharma, Assistant Director (Employment), VRCH, Bhubaneswar presided over the meeting and he also delivered welcome address. Shri J. Padmanav Rao, Young Professional, MCC-VRCH, Bhubaneswar proposed Vote of thanks to the entire team of VRCH, Bhubaneswar, Odisha Skill Development Authority and Department of SSEPD for continuous support in imparting skill training and other participants.
In an informal interaction with the Principal Secretary, the PwD trainees opined that Skill development training really help us to earn our livelihood. Some of the trainees urged that credit linkage just after the skill training will enable us to sustain and grow.
Among the trained candidates, a row of happiness, full of self-confidence, line of positivity, self-assurance were seen.
