Bhubaneswar, Oct 8: Comparing to the previous year’s FY 2015-16 budget , it has been recorded as a 26 percent growth in plan expenditure till September as it has crossed Rs 19,000 crore of planned budget, official sources informed this. This planned expenditure had been discussed in the meeting presided by the Chief Secretary, A P Padhi.
In 2016-17 the planned expenditure fiscal crossed Rs 19,087 crore, i.e., 42 percent of estimated budget, officials sources stated. In agriculture and allied sectors budget utilized is marked as Rs 4,837, i.e., 44 percent of estimated budget. On the other side, the expenditure in infrastructure incurred is Rs 5,734 crore and it has gone up to 51 percent comparing to the last financial year of spending. Utilization of amount in the Social sector has recorded to be Rs 7,568 crore whereas in last year the expenditure for the same was recorded as Rs 6,648 crore. It has also been recorded that Rs 12,812 crore revenue has been collected from both tax and non-tax sources. As per the data required for supplementary budget, all the departments have been advised to submit their requirements by 25th October.
