Bhubaneswar, May 31: Today the results of the Plus II examinations for Arts, Commerce, vocational and correspondence courses this year were announced by the School and Mass Education minister, Badri Narayan Patra here. The School and Mass Education Secretary Ranjana Chopra and CHSE officials were also present. Patra informed media that the pass percentage in Plus II Arts this year is 70.17 and in Commerce is 71.43. A total of 1,74,237 students have passed the Plus II examination in Arts and 20,044 cleared the Plus II exam in Commerce.
In Arts, 19,024 students have secured first division, 29,460 second division and 1,25,562 third division. Female students have 76.22 as pass percentage thus leaving behind the male students who have got a pass percentage of 63.17. In Commerce, 3,860 students secured first division, 2,932 second division and 13,247 third division. Female students have done better with 74.73 pass percentage as comparison to males who have got 69.93.
Highest pass percentage in Arts is 82.78 in Puri whereas lowest percentage is 48.08 in Koraput. In Commerce, Khurda recorded highest pass percentage at 87.21 and Deogarh lowest at 39.75.
