Post Ban by SC on BS-III vehicles; price of petrol and diesel slashed by Oil firms all over

New Delhi, Apr 1: Following the ban imposed BS-III vehicles by the SC, all the oil marketing companies slashed the petrol and diesel prices as a result, its a good news for all bike lovers, as they can now purchase two-wheeler at a never-before discounted price. The price of petrol is cut by Rs 3.77 per litre and diesel by Rs 2.91 a litre. the first rate change in two-and-a-half months. The state owned oil companies slashed the petrol and diesel prices from Friday midnight. Petrol currently costs Rs 71.14 a litre in Delhi and Diesel is priced at Rs 59.02 per litre. An Indian Oil company stated that Petrol price will be cut by Rs 3.77 per litre, excluding state levies. Actual decrease will be larger after taking into account the local levies. Likewise, diesel rate was cut by Rs 2.91, excluding state levies. The rates of petrol and diesel were last changed on Jan 16 with the price of petrol going up 54 paisa and diesel by Rs 1.20/litre. The prices of diesel and petrol, however, are may go up if the international prices move in that direction.
