Bhubaneswar: With the fourth test match between India and England about to start from September 2, India’s right-arm fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been included to the Men In Blue team, says a press release by the BCCI.
Prasidh Krishna May Replace Ishant Sharma
Prasidh may get a chance to play in the playing XI squad in place of the right-arm-fast-medium bowler Ishant Sharma. The decision was most probably taken after Ishant S’s poor performance during the Leeds Test, where he was unable to take a single wicket.
Notably, Prasidh in his debut match in IPL, had attracted everyone with his mind blowing performance. Post to this, he was given a chance in the India-England ODI series at Home, where he nailed in his debut match taking 4 wickets by giving 54 runs. On that day, Krishna also made a record by becoming the first Indian fast bowler to take more than 3 wickets in an ODI debut. Prasidh has till date played 3 ODI matches and taken 6 wickets in total.
In the meanwhile the Indian squad for the fourth test match includes: Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (captain), Ajinkya Rahane (vice-captain), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohd. Shami, Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Abhimanyu Easwaran, Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav, Pranand Krishna.
