Mahabalipuram: Oct 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping at Mamallapuram for the second informal India-China Summit. PM Modi was in a white traditional Tamil attire of ‘veshti’ (White Dhoti), half-sleeve white shirt and angavastram over his shoulder while Chinese President Xi was in white shirt and black trouser.
The two leaders went for a sight seeing at Mahabalipuram. There is a packed schedule for the two leaders which includes informal and delegation-level talks and lunch and dinner meets.
It is to be noted, President Xi’s visit comes after the two sides exchanged sharp words over Kashmir following Xi’s meeting with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
