Anandapur, Oct 24: Today a huge crowd of supporters met the Keonjhar collector, N Thirumala Nayak at a grievance meeting and laid down their concern over the sluggish mode of work in the construction of the bridge. They even submitted him a memorandum that demanded early construction work of the Kusei Bridge near the Belabahali village and if there would be any further delay in the construction work then that would increase their annoyance more. To this, the collector replied that the reason behind the work being delayed is that the labourers, engineers and contractors are absent due to puja festivities. He further said that due to this protest, necessary security arrangements consisting of the deployment of 30 platoons of armed police force have been made by the district administration. The construction work would resume as the workers return.
