Baliguda, Aug 1: A mass protest has been organized by tribal and dalit organizations from across the state in Baliguda today, in support of the five innocent tribal who lost their lives during crossfire between Maoist and SOG in Malapanga forest in Kandhamal district.
Security in Baliguda has been intensified and 4 DSPs, 50 officers and 19 platoons of police force have been deployed in the area to keep law and order under control, sources said.
Starting from the Baliguda mini stadium to the sub collector’s office, a rally has begun from 10 AM. At the end of the rally, the tribal and dalit leaders will address the gathering.
A memorandum would be handed over to the sub collector. The memorandum would be addressed to the President of India and Governor of Odisha, as said by Netraman Seth on behalf of the organizing team.
