Dhenkanal, Nov 26: Last night a man hanged himself and committed suicide at his residence and his wife made an attempt of self-immolation but fortunately could be rescued in a half-burnt condition. This incident happened at the Oukhama village under Sadar police station here.
The villagers out there immediately took the woman to the DHH where the doctors referred to take the woman to Cuttack as her condition deteriorated. The name of the man is Narayan Sahoo and the name of his wife is Nayana. They were residents of the Bhatimunda of Tangi and were residing at the Oukhama village in a rented house from the past several years. Both the husband and wife were engaged into the profession of brass work.
Last night a quarrel took place between the duos over some family issue as said by the locals and thus the incidents is suspected to be the result of this issue. The body of Narayan has been sent for post-mortem and investigation is on.
