Bhubaneswar: June 02: Writing a letter to Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has requested to do provision to convert the part-time Railway Reservation Counter at Bagala Dharmashala, Puri in Odisha to 24X7 Reservation Counter.
Pradhan said in his letter to Union Railway Minister, ‘ I have received several requests from the residents of Puri as well as the pilgrims who visit the world famous Temple of Lord Jagannath, Puri regarding provision of 24X7 Railway Reservation Counter at Bagala Dharmashala at Puri. The Railway Reservation Counter at Bagala is operational for select few hours. If the Reservation Counter is made operational to 24X7, it will come a long way providing convenience to huge number of pilgrims who visit Puri from around the country’.
Furher Pradhan said, ‘In the back drop of upcoming Rath Yatra on 14th July, which is attended by millions of pilgrims, it is requested that this facility be provided at the earliest.’
