Rain to Lash Odisha from March 19 to 22

Bhubaneswar: While the whole of Odisha is reeling under heat wave condition due to the scorching sunlight it may temporarily end soon and people may get relief as the state is expected to received rain in between March 19 and 22 due to Nor’wester, locally called Kalabaisakhi.

It has been expected that the Nor’wester will create havoc in  between March 19 and 22 in the state. Water vapor-rich air is expected to enter the state atmosphere under the influence of a low-pressure system on the Odisha coast.

Accordingly, there is a possibility of Kalabaisakhi and heat wave relief ahead coming into contact with the warm atmosphere and a possible low-pressure line in the upper part of the atmosphere. The effect of this Nor’wester will be quite high in between March 19 and 22.

During this time a low-pressure system is likely to form in the upper part of the atmosphere, while a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal is likely to be on the Odisha coast, and water vapor-rich air is likely to enter the state in a significant amount. This water vapor-rich air is likely to come into contact with the warm atmosphere, and there is a possibility of rain with thunder, wind speed 50 to 60 km per hour, gustiness up to 70 km per hour and hail in some areas.
