Rainfall decreases from coming Thursday to next Saturday

Bhubaneswar, Aug 13: Rainfall has occurred at many places over North Odisha and a few places over South Odisha with Heavy rainfall at one or two places over North Interior Odisha. 

Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours rainfall along with thundershowers thus having a maximum and minimum temperature of 33 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively on Sunday having a cloudy atmosphere all around.

The relative humidity will be 97 percent at its maximum and 68 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT Sub-Division.

Extremely heavy showers and thunder storms will be on, in few parts of Odisha by Sunday. During Sunday, thunderstorms, lightning with showers will hover around in coastal Odisha and in the disjoining districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Dhenkanal. On Monday and Tuesday, rainfall and thundershowers will be occurring in North of the state. On Wednesday, there will be a change in the climatic zone with Coastal Odisha witnessing very heavy rainfall whereas interiors parts of the state will experience moderate monsoon climate. Lastly, on the 5th day of the week, Thursday, North Odisha will succumb to maximum rainfall whereas south of the state will have slight rainfall.

On the basis of weather report submitted by the MeT officials, there will be a decrease in rainfall between Thursday and Saturday.

The highest maximum temperature of 35.2 degree C was recorded at Chandbali and the lowest minimum temperature of 19.5 degree C was recorded at Sundergarh in the plains of Odisha.
