Rainfall in few parts of Odisha; MeT office

Bhubaneswar, Apr 3: Thunder squall with wind speed reaching 60 kmph has been observed at isolated places over North Coastal Odisha (Reported by M.O Paradip, Departmental station). Thundersquall also occurred at Puri at night (Source:-Dharitri news paper). Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Coastal Odisha and isolated places over rest Odisha. Maximum temperatures observed no large change over Odisha. They were above normal over Interior Odisha and normal over Coastal Odisha.

Having clear sky, Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours a maximum and minimum temperature of 36 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively on Tuesday.

The relative humidity will be 89 percent at its maximum and 36 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT. On Tuesday, rainfall at a few places of Coastal Odisha and one or two places of Interior Odisha. Thundersquall and hailstorms to occur in Coastal Odisha and in adjoining districts of Keonjhar, Majurbhanj, Angul and Dhenkanal. Wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, rainfall to occuer one pr two places of Odisha. On Saturday, rainfall in Coastal Odisha and in the adjoing distrcits of Kalahnadi, Kandhamal and Rayagarh. Weather to be dry over rest of Odisha. As per the weather forecasters, there is no significant change as of now.

For the farmers, rainfall at a few places of Coastal Odisha and one or two places of Interior Odisha. Thundersquall and hailstorms to occur in Coastal Odisha and in adjoining districts of Keonjhar, Majurbhanj, Angul and Dhenkanal. Wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph.

For the fishermen, strong and gusty surface wind reaching 35-45 kmph gudting to 55 kmph likely to prevail along and off Odisha coast. Fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea.

The highest maximum temperature of 42.50C and the lowest minimum temperature of 18.00C were recorded at Sundergarh in the plains of Odisha.
