Cuttack: July 5: The Orissa High Court on Wednesday issued notices to four respondents-Srimandir Managing Committee Chairman Divyasingha Deva, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration’s Chief Administrator Ranjan Kumar Das, DG of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), and its superintendent while hearing a petition filed by the BJP leader Samir Mohanty.
Mohanty has sought judicial intervention for the opening of the inner Ratna Bhandar of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri.
He also requested that the Governor of Odisha or an Orissa High Court judge chair a high-power committee to oversee inventory preparation.
The next hearing of the petition will be held on August 7.
