Rebel rocket fire kills 22 in Syria’s Latakia

Damascus, Nov 10 : At least 22 people were killed on Tuesday when rebels fired two improvised rockets at residential areas in the coastal city of Latakia.

Reports said 62 others were also wounded in the attack.

The rockets hit residential neighbourhood Mazraa near the Latakia University, the reports said.

Latakia is the hometown of President Bashar al-Assad and houses Russian air force base to launch airstrikes against militant positions.
