Bhubaneswar, Aug 8: After meeting with the Economic Offence Wing (EOW) on Sunday, around twenty duped investors from Bharuch district in Gujurat, on Monday called on Justice MM Das who had being probing the Oscar chit fund scam and demanded their early return of money.
Yesterday, as per the direction of the EOW, the duped investors had submitted documents relating to the illegal activities of the company, who managed to collect around Rs 11 core amount of money from the people through its five branches, by assuring them huge return on their investment.
Though the evidence regarding the company have been submitted, the panel has not taken any step to refund their money, an investor said. He further said that, it is not possible for them to stay in the city and raise voice against the company.
The investors has also demanded a Crime Branch probe into this matter and immediate arrest of the Ollywood actors for promoting the company.
The Crime Branch had seized two CDs in which it had seen that Ollywood actors including Uttam Mohanty and Papu Pom Pom promoting the company and persuading the people to invest in the company.
