Puri: August 12: An appeal to make Bollywood movie ‘Toilet- Ek Prem Katha’ starring Akshay Kumar, tax free in the country has been made by renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik in a tweet message.
As the movie talks about the importance of toilets in homes and eradication of open defecation, Sudarshan in his tweet message has urged the State Governments across the country to make the movie tax free.
Sudarshan, the brand ambassador of Swacch Bharat Mission in Odisha had created a sand sculpture at the Puri beach earlier this month with a slogan ‘Use toilet, keep the environment clean’ for which the entire crew of the movie had thanked him.
It is necessary on the part of the governments to promote the movie as it revolves around a social message and stresses on the importance of toilets, said the sand artist.
Also, more and more people will go to the theatres to watch the movie if the film is made tax free, Pattnaik feels.
