Bhubaneswar, Sept 2: On Saturday, the Odisha government said it would submit the report to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on the Kalahandi incident in which Dana Majhi, a tribal man carried his wife’s body on his shoulder for 10 kilometres after being denied a hearse at the district headquarters hospital at Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district.
The PMO’s letter seeking details of the incident was dispatched on August 26 and was received by the State government on Thursday.
A report has been asked by the Odisha State Human rights Commission regarding this incident and directed to submit the report within four weeks.
