Bhubaneswar, Dec 22: In connection to the death of Rishi in May this year, yesterday the Commissionerate police conducted an interrogation of four more friends of Ashutosh Mohanty aka Rishi, an engineering student. As there are allegations that the death of Rishi is closely linked to the sex video which recently went viral in the social media, hence, police are looking into these two angles.
In the meantime, a friend of Rishi informed to the media that he thinks that there is an involvement of Rishi’s girlfriend in his death and so the CBI should conduct a proper interrogation with the girlfriend and all her family members so that the actual link of Rishi’s death with the sex video comes to fore. His friend stated that he had met Rishi three days before his death when Rishi was in a jovial mood. But he did not meet him on the day he died. Police will be able to unravel the truth, if it interrogates the persons who were close to Rishi, find out whether his girlfriend knew about the link of his sex video to his death, his friend stated.
The cops today grilled four friends of Rishi out of which two were his mess mates and other two were those who had admitted Rishi to the Capital Hospital. Apart from this, police are examining Rishi’s phone call details and his facebook message. Also the police will call up Pradip Pandey, the proprietor of Niakhunta portal (www.niakhunta.com), for the second time for interrogation on Dec 27.
Pandey had appeared before the Capital Police on Tuesday for interrogation. On his request, the Police later handed him over a copy of the FIR lodged by BMC Mayor Anant Narayan Jena against him.
