India’s Opener Rohit Sharma scored 127 against England in the final session on Day 3 of the fourth Test at The Oval.
Rohit Sharma scored his first-ever century on overseas soil, in 205 deliveries on the third evening of the fourth Test against England at the Oval. He scored it with a straight six off Moeen Ali.
This is Rohit’s eighth century in Test Cricket. Also, this is his 4th Century as Opener and first outside India.
Rohit has scored 3000 runs in test cricket. But, he completed 11,000 runs as an opener across formats.
He joined in India’s Test Team in November’ 2013. His first match was at Eden Gardens in Kolkata against the West Indies and he scored 177.
As of now, India are placed at 270/3 after 90 overs. Ravindra Jadeja joined skipper Virat Kohli at the crease after the fall of Rohit and Pujara. While Sharma fell to a pull shot on 127, Pujara was caught in the slips for 61.
Earlier, Rohit and KL Rahul started nicely, but Rahul got out for 46 runs. James Anderson dismissed Rahul.
