Rose Valley chit fund scam: TMC MP under 6 day remand in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Jan 5: Intensifying the investigation in the Rose Valley Chit fund scam, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has took Sudip Bandyopadhyay, Trinamool MP on a six-day remand, yesterday.

Sources said, Along with Sudip, Tapas Paul will also be interrogated by the CBI and will be asked about the other people who are involved in the scam. During his remand, he will be interrogated about the fact that in what way the chit fund firm has benefited by involving him. The CBI will further investigate the link of Sudip’s wife, who is also a MLA in West Bengal, with the chit fund scam.

It may be noted that, a 12-day remand period had been asked by the CBI from the Special CJM court.
