Cuttack: May 11: Students of Nursing of SCB Medical College and Hospital lodged an FIR against their Principal at Mangalabag Police Station on May 11. They alleged that Principal had ill-treated and passed casteist remark to a fourth year student.
Protesting against the Principal, Nursing Students met the authorities and demanded transfer of Principal. Also, they went on a cease work agitation on Tuesday. But, the SCB authorities failed to take any action against the erring principal, Students said.
Students have the complaint that, in case of a minute late in reporting to duty, the Principal marks them absent and deducts stipend. On the happening day, they were having launch, the attendance bell rang. All rushed hurriedly to give attendance. Subhadra Murmu, a fourth year student could not tie her head band properly. For this mistake of her, Principal slapped her twice and also passed casteist remark.
